Astranasu Part 2
One winter had passed since Astraia and Orinasu had gotten together. With a few jealous moments from both sides and a few quick escapes from large prey, not a thing had really gone wrong between the two.
Now it was summer, marking a year and a half that they had been mates, and neither of them regretted their decision. Laying underneath a large willow tree to provide extra protection from the heat, and some cover for when they want to be lovey dovey. Currently, Ast was curled up with her head on her paws, enjoying the slight breeze that was coming in and Ori laying beside her, his head on hers, giving it a few nuzzles of affection here and there. After a while, Ast had moved away to go and grab some water from a close pond.
"I'll take just a few seconds Ori. I'll be right back." She said in a soft voice, giving his head a lick of affection.
"Alright, just no talking to strangers." Ori responded, using his best parental voice to her as she laughed.
"Yeah yeah, you too." She said, leaving the shade of the cool willow tree.
Not long after she had left had two young females come along to stay under the shade. Although, poor Ori had only thought they were there for a few seconds to rest before leaving. Yet they had other plans being teenagers.. One of them had made her way over and fluffed her tail before sitting close to him. A little too close.
"Hey there.. I'm Kaia, and that's my friend, Chatoyant. Or just Chat for short." She said, using a paw to point at the grey she-wolf nearby.
"Oh.. uhm.. hi. I'm Orinasu. Or Ori for short."
Giggling, kaia got even closer to him, her brown pelt mixing with his white as he tried to scoot away without getting into the sun.
"Oh, I just love that name! Don't you Chat?"
"Mhm." Chatoyant replied in almost a shy manner, as if she had just wanted to leave.
"that's great.. if you can just back up a few yards, i'd definitely appreciate that.." He said, giving a disgusted glance at the young canidae. Usually he would have flirted back, and left as usual, but now that he had a mate, he wouldn't do it.
"Oh what's the problem? It's not like you have a mate or anything.."
"Actually.. He does.." Said a low female voice that belonged to Astraia. "And if you'd like to keep your pretty little fur in contact with no bald spots, i'd suggest you get your sorry ass out of her before you gain a new look.." She threatened, staring Kaia down. She had no issue with Chat. Seeing as she was talking with her for a few seconds before watching the scene play before her.
"I'd do what she says.. She could rip you a new one.." Ori said, a sigh of relief escaping his muzzle as his mate had come back.
Huffing, Kaia stood up right, fluffing her fur once again.
"Please, i'm much prettier than that blue thing ever will be. At least I don't look like a smurf."
"That's it you little runt!" Ast growled, lunging at the female before tearing at least 4 bald spots into her fur before being forced back by Ori.
"I'd suggest you leave before I release her.." He said, giving a glare to the terrified female and her friend as he watched them run.
After a little while, Ori had released Astraia, watching as she grumpily walked to the tree trunk, mumbling to herself. Following, he sat beside her, leaning against her as she continued to mumble.
"You know mumbling isn't good for you Ast. Keeps you from being sane." He said, lightly cracking a smile as she turned to stare at him.
"I'm not a smurf.. am I?" She said, her expression of one of confusion as she looked over her fur, seeing everything was blue.
"You're blue Ast, but you're my smurf. Small and adorable."
"... I'm small and vicious, don't make me bite you." She said, cracking her own grin as she leaned against his fur, nuzzling into it.
"And adorable.." He finished, before laying down with her and nuzzling her cheek fur for a few more hours until they fell asleep.
-Three weeks later-
"Augh.. When was the last time we've actually eaten something.." Ori said, hearing his stomach growl for the third time in the past 10 minutes. As Astraia's growled shortly after.
"About a day ago.. Haven't seen much to hunt anyway besides some small rodents." Astraia replied, ignoring the dying whale noises her stomach was making.
"Ugh.. Here, you stay under the shade and i'll go find us both something to eat, alright?" He said, leading her to a shady spot before giving her cheek a nuzzle
kissing her softly and taking his leave.
Plopping herself onto the ground, Ast had started to make random, stupid doodles in the soft sand, her tail lightly flicking against the dirt. Hearing a soft thud and a presence, she assumed that Orinasu had returned.
"That was fast.. how'd did it-- Oh.. you're not Ori.."
"Nope. Name's Micah dollface, and let me say, you're the best looking female i've seen in a long time." The tan male said, getting on one side of her as another male with white fur came to the other side.
"Hey there. I'm James, it's a pleasure to meet you my dear.." He said, grabbing one of her paws and kissed it lightly, only to have Astraia yank it from him and rubbed it on the ground to get the feel of his lips off her fur.
"Yeah.. sure.. Im Astraia.." She said, glaring at the two males. She was already planning an escape route once she had kicked them in their baby maker, but got tossed from her thoughts as Micah had her pinned against the rough bark of the tree.
"So, whatd'ya say you, James and I have a bit of fun here, yes?" He said, glancing her over like she was only a piece of meat that was freshly killed and ready to be eaten.
"Yeah no.. How about you fuck off.." She growled, flailing her hind legs as James had grabbed them and lifted her from the ground, the only thing keeping her from falling was the rough tree.
"Aw come on love. It'll be fun and pleasurable.. you'll see."
"I said fuck off you deranged mutt! I wouldn't touch you with a 500 foot stick." She snapped, glaring harshly at them both.
With a growl of his own, Micah had roughly bitten her muzzle, causing a whimper from Ast.
"I'd suggest shutting that little mouth of yours before we do it for you.." He spat, releasing his grip.
Feeling completely helpless, Astraia felt terrified for the first time in a long time. Almost giving up her strugge to accept her fate before her hind legs were released and she was placed back on the ground. Confused, she looked over to see Orinasu completely pissed, with a scared James in his jaws.
"I suggest releasing her or there will be hell to pay." He growled, tossing the white male to the ground and stretched his black wings out half way to make himself seem larger than the other two.
"As if. This lil bella is-- Ow! What the hell!" James said, releasing Astraia to tend to his.. -ahem- Privates.
"Little shit.. That's what you get for ganging up on me." She said harshly, walking past him and rammed his shoulder to make him fall to the ground, Micah doubling over in pain.
"And unless you want yours ripped off, I recommend leaving us alone." Ori stated, glaring at the male as he pathetically nodded and went to help his friend.
"C'mon love.. let's get out of here." Ori suggested, using his wings to leave the ground and Astraia following suit.
-later that evening-
"Thanks Ori.. for y'know.. earlier." Ast said, contently chewing on small parts of rabbit the they had caught not too long ago.
With a slight growl and a sigh, Ori responded.
"You know i'd do anything to protect you. I know you could have handled one on your own easily. But.. two.. I got a little worried and scared for you." He admitted, pushing his half eaten hare aside as Ast did the same. A concerned expression on her face as she leaned against him, nuzzling her face into his shoulder.
"I know Ori. And in honesty I was scared too.. But, everything's okay now though.. Right? I mean nothing got too far and we are both okay." She said softly, a small smile displayed on her lips as Ori nodded, twisting on his side and grabbed Ast in his arms as they began their evening cuddle session.
"Yeah.. But I swear.. I see them again they're dead."
"I know love. I know. Same with those females a while back."
"Hehe, you know.. you're adorable when you're jealous.."
"I'm not jealous, i'm territorial over what's mine."
Cracking a smile at her response that she used when they first became mates, he kissed her softly before wrapping his arms around her tighter in a protective hold.
"I love you Ast. You know that?"
"I do. I love you too Ori."
"Good night, princess."
"Night, my lovely twit."
